Chain 5 Join
Round 1: Ch 1, Work 10 HDC through the chain, join.
Round 2: Chain 1, 2 HDC in each of the next 8 stitches. - 16 HDC total
Work a Reverse Single Crochet edging to the opposite side.

Row 1: Work 1 HDC in each of the next 9 stitches (9 HDC total)
Row 2-5: Work 1 HDC in each stitch across. (9 HDC total)
You can leave the earflap long or give it a rounded edge.
Skip a stitch, work a slip stitch all the way across. Cut a little extra yarn, pull the yarn through and give a tug to secure.
Skip 10 stitch and attach the yarn for the earflap on the opposite side. This will be the back opening between the earflaps.
Optional: Yarn pom poms to attach to earflaps.
