Romantic Heart fabric for gifts and decor: sewing tutorial
DIY: gossip from the heart

I went back to show you how gossip heart-shaped mold using Clover super. This site has a tutorial on how to gossip in the race, but I like the practicality thought best to use atemplate ready, making my life. The mold is on sale in shops patchwork good, mine isPaulinia Shop (tel 11 3032-8799 / 3031-1039). But there is another legal option, which is win one of these here in Superziper. Read the end of the post to learn how:) The promotion was CLOSED

1. Separate the mold, retail fabric, needle, thread and small scissors.
2. The mold is composed of two parts the "base" and "cover". With it you will be able to do a gossip about 2, 0 cm. Get to work! Place the fabric on the part of the pattern down,as shown in photo.

3. Close the lid and pressing, leaving the fabric burnt to a crisp in the mold.
4. Go with scissors trimming the edges of the fabric, leaving 0.3 to 0.5 cm margin.

5. Give a "chop" with the scissors within the range that sits on top of the heart.
6. Thread the needle and tie a little knot at the tip. Starting the hole to the left of the mold base, pass the line from the inside out.

7. The little knot the end of the line is in, see?
8. Continue sewing the inside of the holes on the outside of the mold and counter-clockwise. Every point you will sew the edges of the fabric so that they are inside.

9. Attention in time to sew the base, bend the tip of the fabric as shown in photo 10

11. Notice that the last point will override the first point where you started sewing.
12. Carefully remove the fabric from the mold.

13. 're Almost there! Pull the thread carefully and go curling your gossip and adjustingthe format.
14. Give a tight little knot and cut the line left. If you want to decorate the center preach asmall bud, or let the natural beads!

Flower gifts: Halloween Lollipop Trees tutorial

Flower gifts:  Halloween Lollipop Trees tutorial
These lollipop trees were so fun to make and SIMPLE! Whip up one or two, or THREE for your family in no time...they would be fun for so many occasions!
 You will need:
A few pots
Styrofoam Balls (domes would work too!)
Lollipops
Acrylic or Spray Paint
Vinyl or Contact Paper
After applying 2 coats of acrylic black paint, I adhered my lettering. I used contact paper and my cricut to create the phrase.
Then I simple placed the styrofoam ball on top of the pot and started poking in the lollipops. I found that it was easier to stick them in straight down, even when going around the sides of the ball, to avoid the lollipop sticks from getting stuck against each other inside of the ball.
I went through over 200 lollipops and still needed more. So buy the BIG bag.
I think they look so fun and festive in our entryway. The kids like them too.
I always give my piano students a treat after their lesson. I think they will be eating off of these for a long time. That's a whole 'lotta dum dums!

Paper crafts for kids: Paper Purse tutorial

Paper Purse  Paper Purse
In this class I will show you how simple it is to turn a single sheet of patterned paper into an adorable little purse!  These purses make cute accents to your scrap area and can also be used as gift or party favor bags, notecard holders, etc.

Example using Chatterbox paper
Variations to try:  You can use a sheet of 6x6 paper instead of 12x12 to make a mini purse.
You can also use two patterned papers, as you'll see I did in the example.  Simply substitute the second paper for the 6x4" section to make the sides.
You will need the following supplies:

  • one 12 x 12" double sided patterned paper or cardstock
  • paper trimmer
  • scoring tool, such as a bone folder
  • adhesive
  • pencil
  • optional decorations: brads, faux flowers, ribbon, buckles, charms
Directions:
  • Cut a 1" strip from the 12x12 sheet and set aside. This will be the strap.
  • Cut a 7x11" piece. Score on the 11" side at 4 1/2" and 6 1/2" on the underside of the patterned paper.
  • On the 7" side, make a small mark at 1 1/4" and 5 3/4" on both sides.   the mark will not be noticeable once the purse is assembled
  • Score paper at an angle from one end of the center score line to the nearest small mark. Repeat for each corner. Set aside.   the paper will resemble a diamond shape once you fold each of the angles upward
  • Cut a 6x4" piece from the remaining paper.  On the 4" side, score 3/4 from one end - this will be the bottom.  Score 5/8 from the other end - this will be the top.  Cut this piece in half to make two 6x2" pieces.   Notice in the image below how the bottom section folds under and the top section fold over.   all these measurements make it sound difficult but hang in there, you're nearly done
  • Adhere the bottom part of the 6x2" piece to the 2" strip down the center of the 7x11" piece.
  • Fold up the sides of the purse and the angled sides will overlap.  Fold down the top part of the 6x2" piece overtop and adhere.  Repeat for the other side.   your purse is taking shape now
  • Position the strap as desired and adhere or secure with brads.  You will have a square of patterned paper leftover which you could use to accent your purse.  Your purse is now finished - decorate as desired using faux flowers, ribbons, buckles, charms, etc.

Unique crafts: IY - "Perler Beads"? $0 Guarantee! with straws

up.  Make your own faux Perler Beads!  Zero cost guarantee but ... 100% quality and satisfatory...that's will depends how 'open minded' you are to my 'new idea'!

A sample of my 'creation'...it suppose to spell " i  u" but it sort of out of shape at the end...Well, I'm not a perfectionist anyway.  Just want to share with you all the 'idea',  the 'result' will be perfect if I have more patience...
Unique crafts: IY - "Perler Beads"? $0 Guarantee! with straws

OK.  Happy with the sample above so far?  Now, let me show you the 'idea' or the 'method'.

You will need :-
1.  A piece of release paper or what you call a backing paper from sticker sheet.  Yes, the sticker sheet your kids use up... remove the sticking paper, keep the waxing paper.  Yup, I keep this all the time to substitute wax paper when 'in need'.  Or, you can use your wax paper if you have that in hand.

2.  Straws.  Never throw away straw, they can be pretty useful and fun.  Check out my other project on straw

3.  Hot iron.  The one you use on your clothes.  What for? Hmmm... you'll see. ;)

Method :-

1.  Cut the straw into 4 - 5 mm in length.
2.  Arrange them into pattern on the backing paper on the top of the wax surface.

As you can see here, the straw don't have to be exactly the same height,
so + / - is ok.

3.  Now, cover the top with the backing paper with wax area face in - or you just fold over and cover the 'beads'.
4.  Switch on you iron.  I do this on a concrete tiles floor.  I tried it on the iron board, but it was too soft.  I turn my iron on medium heat.  Just rest and touch the paper.  Don't press!  Wait for about 20 - 30 second.  The 'beads' will 'stick' on the paper from inside, turn around and press the other side too to have the pattern surface even.
5.  Remove the iron and wait about 10 seconds or until the paper cool down.  If you rush like I did, you will have some 'flashing' when opened up the paper.

If you happened to have this 'fray' or 'flashing', just remove with a craft knife.
6.  Now, enjoy your zero cost "perler beads".  This idea is good for making small items like little pendent, earring, small frames.... but I prefer ...
